What is mechatronic assembly?

Mechatronic assembly revolves around assembling components into a final product that moves mechanically as well as functions electrically or software-wise. Examples include:

Sensor holders, actuators or servo assemblies;
Assembled modules for mechanical engineering or automotive;
System construction including cable routing, connectors and air lines;
Subassemblies to be tested for operation, pressure or signal.

Especially in this type of project, the interaction between parts is crucial. One error in tolerances, cable runs or positioning can lead to a non-working final product.

Seamless alignment

Whereas standard assembly is often about fit and finish, mechatronic assembly is primarily about functional reliability. At Heycop, we therefore design processes so that mechanics, electronics and quality control fit seamlessly together:

Multidisciplinary work preparation. Together we map out all the necessary information: where are interfaces, tolerance conflicts or electrical risks?
Product-specific clamping jigs. When necessary, we design customer-specific fixtures for stability, accessible assembly and control;
Quality control. We not only measure dimensions (CMM), but also test function and connection: does the signal work, is the actuator centered, does the wiring harness connect without tension?
Documentation and traceability. We leave nothing to chance and therefore work with digital work instructions, checklists and measurement reports per batch or piece – always in accordance with ISO 9001.
